It's definitely turning towards winter here with morning frosts and highs in the 30's! Brrrr! The cozy time of year! Recently I had fun making some homemade goodies for soaking in a hot bath...one of my favorite ways to warm up!

For those of you looking for DIY holiday gift ideas...bath/spa items are wonderful, and fun and easy to make! With the holidays coming up, there are lots of ways to share this...hostess and teacher gifts, as well as gifts for friends and family.
And of course, we need to treat ourselves, too!
It is so easy to make your own bath products with pure ingredients! I recently received the Simply Earth November Recipe Box and it is all about baths! I love the recipe boxes because you receive four bottles of their 100% pure essential oils as well as some ingredients and recipe cards to help you make some fun goodies!
I thought I'd share one of the recipes I made with you...
the Lavender Buds and Tranquility Milk Bath!
I think this would be a great thing to make for gifts!
This recipe was very simple. Besides the recipe box ingredients, it used a cup of Epsom Salt. Epsom salt is so great for soaking sore muscles and joints. You simply mix it with small amounts of packaged powdered milk and lavender buds and grind it with a blender or coffee maker.
Then you mix in five drops of the Tranquility Oil. It's a calming blend of Spikenard, Lemon, Patchouli, Sweet Orange, and Ylang Ylang essential oils.
You store the mixture in a sealed container... I found these pretty glass bale jars, as well as the natural epsom salt I used, at the dollar store!
There were several other recipes included that I can't wait to try!
I love the fun labels, too!
I particularly love spice oils and citrus oils. This recipe box also included Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Lime pure essential oils!
I can't wait to try the Chai Tea Bath Salts recipe...using your own clove, anise star, oatmeal, epsom salt, cinnamon stick...it's mixed with the Simply Earth pure Cinnamon essential oil and a little Almond Oil. It goes in the included cloth tea bag and steeps in the bath. Sounds heavenly!
There are also recipes for Oatmeal and Milk Bath. Eucalyptus Shower Steamers, Tranquility and Lime Diffuser Blend, and Lime and Eucalyptus Roll On!
The subscription box is a wonderful way to build your essential oil collection, at a great price...but you can also order single items, too! You might remember my recent soap making post. Be sure and check that out, if you missed it. That fun and easy soap recipe used their wonderful aloe glycerine soap base which is available singly for just $2.99, and made several small bars!
But for those of you who would like to try the November subscription recipe box, you will also receive a Bonus Box filled with all kinds of things to help you make the recipe box recipes...bottles, roll-ons, beeswax, almond oil, and two forms of coconut oil!
AND they have given me a special code for new subscribers that you can use at checkout~
