DIY Winter Wellness

It is nearly a new year and we all tend to make changes and resolutions for the year ahead! I usually make general, rather than specific changes...you know...like eating better and exercising more (definitely after Christmas eating).  We also have been trying to make better choices in products we buy, as far as being environmentally friendly and less toxic.  And I'm having some fun making some natural DIY Winter Wellness items for my home also!

If you are a follower of this blog, you might have seen some of the DIY natural home products I have made from Simply Earth pure essential oils and products.

I just received the January Subscription Recipe Box and it is all about Winter Wellness!  This month's box came with Lemon, Clary Sage, and Ho Wood pure essential oils and Relief pure essential oil blend. It also had a bottle of Avocado Oil, a spray bottle, and a container.  There were labels and six recipe cards, too!

Such wonderful recipes for Winter Wellness this month!

First I made the Refresh Spray!  So quick and easy to make!

Using the included spray bottle, I simply mixed 4T of distilled water (you can use 2T distilled water and 2T witch hazel which would help the essential oils incorporate) with 8 drops Lemon Essential oil, 5 drops Ho Wood essential oil, and 1 drop Relief essential oil blend. Shake it up and spray, to refresh fabric or the air.
Smells so good...I especially love citrus essential oils...

In this next recipe I used some of the Fractionated Coconut Oil
from the Big Bonus Box. Who doesn't love a good foot bath?
This Relax and Detox Foot Bath is so easy to make!

You mix 1T Fractionated Coconut Oil, 4 drops Ho Wood essential oil, and 3 drops Clary Sage essential oil into 1 cup Epsom Salt. Blend well, and store in a sealable container.  Takes a minute to make, and you just add 1/4 cup of the mixture into your foot bath, fill with warm water...and RELAX.  Told you it was easy.

  1. Looks like a great kit! I have a ton of essential oils and mostly use them in a diffuser, but wonderful ideas for using them in beauty products, too.
