Hello December! It's a busy time for many of us...with decorating, entertaining, and preparing gifts! Today I thought I would share some handmade gifts I've been working on...lip balm and room spray...for the natural home.

I just received the December Subscription Recipe Box
from Simply Earth! I've had so much fun with the past boxes
and knew the December box would be great!
Look at these wonderful goodies! This month's theme is Gift Giving.
Each box comes with some of their wonderful 100% Pure Essential Oils and Blends...this time Mandarin, Pine Scotch, and Peppermint single oils...and Candy Cane Seasonal Diffuser Blend. I love these oils for Christmas...
There are also six wonderful toxin-free recipes for those handmade gifts I mentioned... and labels and gift tags. And there are supplies for what is needed to complete the recipe....this time, containers for room spray, lip balm, and salve.
When you receive your first subscription box you also get a big Bonus Box
with lots of accessories and ingredients for using the recipes!
I used some of those ingredients in these recipes, too!
So let's get started on a couple of the recipes I've been making...
everything is quick and easy!
The first recipe is Citrus Christmas Room Spray!
It just takes minutes! You simply mix 15 drops of the Scotch Pine essential oil with 25 drops Mandarin essential oil and swirl the bottle. Then you add 2 T. distilled water, and 2T vodka or witch hazel. These are optional, but help incorporate the oils into the water to extend the aroma. I simply used 4T water.
Shake well...and spray around the room! So easy!
Just add one of the included labels...and you have a lovely gift!
The second recipe I'm sharing is Candy Cane Lip Balm!
This one uses some Bonus Box ingredients, too!
Beeswax, Coconut Oil, and Almond Oil...
You simply melt the recipe portions of 1 T. beeswax with 1/2 T. solid coconut oil over a double boiler. Then you add 1 t. of sweet almond oil and 10 drops Candy Cane Essential oil blend and stir well. Fill the two lip balm tubes and cool completely. Who knew it was so easy to make your own lip balm?
And the labels look so festive for little gifts and stocking stuffers...
I can hardly wait to make some of the other recipes...how about Mandarin and Coffee Sugar Scrub or Christmas Candy Diffuser Blend? This little Diffuser and Wooden Essential Oil Box are on my Christmas wish list...
They have many accessories, essential oil jewelry, and of course single oils and blends. You don't have to break the bank to make special gifts!

you will also receive a $40 gift card with your first box, that you can use for your next box or a future purchase. It's a wonderful way to stock up on 100% pure essential oils at a great price!
The monthly subscription boxes tend to sell out quickly! Simply Earth now has a Starter Box with Bonus Box when they sell out, so you don't have to wait.
Also, I love the fact that 13% of all Simply Earth profits go to end Human Trafficking...this month to Night Light Bangkok.
Sneak peek...Next month's box theme is Winter Wellness!
Until next time...

ReplyDeleteHope your Thanksgiving was wonderful and enjoy getting ready for the holidays.
Hugs,

What a pretty gift idea! I know a lot of people on my list who would adore receiving that lip balm!
ReplyDeleteSuch thoughtful gift ideas Linda! I love anything with citrus so I'm sure the room spray you made smells amazing. Plus, it's perfect timing for the candy cane lip balm because this is the time of year people always have chapped lips. Hugs, CoCo
