Making Natural Valentine Gifts...Love Your Skin

I can hardly believe it is nearly February...January seemed to just fly by for me! Valentine's Day is now just a couple of weeks away now!  I always enjoy making simple Valentines gifts and decorations...how about you?

I've been working on projects and crafting and I've been making some fun things lately that I'll be sharing with you soon...and some easy-to-make gifts, too!

This week I received my February Essential Oil Recipe Box from Simply Earth!  I always have fun opening the monthly subscription box...and this month was no exception!
The theme is perfect for February...Love Your Skin!
I'll give you a peek at what is inside...
Frankincense, Coffee, and Fir Needle pure essential oils...Veins essential oil blend, and Rose Hydrosol.

and of course, the wonderful recipes!

I'll share a couple of the so-easy recipes with you today!  The Rose Hydrosol bath couldn't be any easier.  Rose Hydrosol is a by-product of making Rose Essential oil and is water based.  It has a lovely, gentle rose scent.  The bath recipe consists of simply adding a cup of epsom salts and 1 T of the Rose Hydrosol right into your running bath water.  So soothing and relaxing!

This next recipe is one of my favorites...Veins Sugar Scrub!  The Veins essential oil blend is made from a mixture of Cypress, Juniper Berry, and Lemon essential oils. It's warming, and said to help reduce the appearance of spider veins.  The sugar scrub is made by mixing 1 T fractionated Coconut oil (that is included in the Big Bonus Box you receive free with your first subscription box) with 9 drops of Veins essential oil blend for 30 seconds...

and pouring it over a cup of sugar.  Blend well.  So fluffy with a wonderful scent!

You use a small amount of the scrub, rubbing onto wet skin.  I used it on my hands...and it felt wonderful. My skin felt so smooth.

You can store the scrub in a sealable container for 3 months.
I found these great jars at the dollar store.  I love that the lids push down with a sealing rim. They are the perfect size for a batch of the scrub or bath salts.

They have a great area to place a label, too.  I cut one of the included labels to fit, but you could make your own, too.  Such a great gift!

And the little scrubbies were in a two-pack at the dollar store.
I want to make some little gift baskets!

I'm really looking forward to making the Skin Healing Body Butter, Clay and Rose Face Mask, Espresso Diffuser Blend, and Alert Roll-On, too!

  2. All these natural recipes sound wonderful! I love using essential oils for different things. I have eucalyptus, rosemary and peppermint going in the diffuser right now, as Brian and I both have colds.

I tried to use your code, but it wouldn't work. I was able to get the Bonus Box, but no gift card....bummer! Anyway, I'm still excited to receive and use it!! Thanks for sharing this!
