Hi Friends!
Hope you are well and healthy and taking good care of yourself while we are #staying home!
I am enjoying being able to get outdoors in the yard more now...it is good for the spirit to see spring growth all around! It is especially hard being separated from family, but I take heart in knowing
they are all well...and as my mother always says...this too shall pass.
This week I had a little creative fun...making some natural recipes for women!

It's been awhile since I shared one of my recipe boxes from Simply Earth and thought I would share the May box and a couple of the fun and easy recipes with you today! This month's theme is "Woman Up"! The 100% Pure Essential Oils and recipes focus in on women's needs.
The May Subscription Recipe Box has 4 bottles of wonderful smelling oils...Tangerine and Marjoram pure essential oils, and two pure essential oil blends...Ladies Choice (a blend of Clary Sage, Marjoram, Lavender, and Geranium) and their new blend Good Vibes ( a blend of Clary Sage, Geranium, Lavender. Lemon, and Ho Wood...so wonderful...loving that touch of citrus!).
The box also had Dried Lavender Flowers, labels, 2 containers, and six recipe cards!
When you first subscribe to the monthly recipe boxes you also get a Bonus Box
with all kinds of extra ingredients and containers to complete the monthly recipes!
So I was able to use some of those items needed for the recipes, too!

The first recipe I tried was the Positivity Solid Perfume. I don't wear perfume, as it is just too strong for me...so I was excited to try this. It was so simple to make! You simply melt 1 t beeswax over a double boiler, add 1 T almond oil (the beeswax and almond oil were in my Bonus Box)...remove from heat and stir in the essential oils...1 drop Good Vibes, 2 drops Tangerine, and 1 drop Marjoram. So simple!
Then you just pour it in the container from this month's box. You can see it is already setting up.
This is a very subtle blend and I love the soft, calming, uplifting scent. I have no problems wearing it. You just rub some on your pulse points. I love this recipe and I am excited to try it using some of my other essential oils and blends, for solid perfume, too! Who knew it was so easy!
There are labels included for all of the recipes and oils...
The second recipe I'll share today is the Balance Bath Soak. You combine 1/4 c Fractionated Coconut oil (from the Bonus Box) with 6 drops Good Vibes EO Blend and 6 drops Ladies Choice EO Blend. Put 2 cups Epsom Salt in a sealable container, pour the oil mixture over the salt, and stir.
Then add .1 oz of lavender buds, and gently stir. You can grind the buds before adding to help them go down the drain easier. You add 1/4- 1/2 c. to the tub as it's filling...
and then soak and relax for 10-15 minutes!

I made just a half batch as I didn't have a larger container. This recipe smells wonderful...
I'm looking forward to making all of the May recipes!
I also have a new Wooden Essential Oil Box to share with you!
I'm loving the natural wood and large size...well built and sturdy.

It holds 36 bottles.

Hi Linda. Happy Monday. I love all these ideas. I also love that Simply Earth gives back. I love to find gifts that give back. Thanks for sharing. Have a great new week.

Thank you, Kris! I love that about them, too! Can't wait to make some more of those solid perfumes...
DeleteThe perfume and bath soak sound amazing! I had not heard of Simply Earth before but I'll definitely have to check them out! Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I really enjoy the products and the goodies I make with them!
DeleteWell, I can see I was mistaken. I thought the labels were yours. It's the companie's so my email to you was incorrect about the spelling. Sorry about that. I just hate it when a company puts a label or something on their product and can't spell the words right. But then these days it seems like people can't spell like they once did. It's all texting sub-language. Anyway, looks like some wonderful goodies you got, regardless of the spelling!

Ah ha ha! I'm so blind I totally missed it was misspelled! You know what else...I have to be careful to read carefully, because I tend to read in blocks rather than words and I can skip right over missing letters without noticing. My brain fills in the blanks...
DeleteI am going to check out Simply Earth. Thanks for sharing all of these great items.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this! I love this idea---misspelled or not. :))))
ReplyDeleteHappy day!

I swear every time you share one of these essential oils post, Linda, you blow my mind! I didn't even know you could make your own perfume like. I'm constantly looking pefume that smells good but doesn't give me a headache. I've tried body creams and they smell good but they don't usually last as long as perfume does so I'm excited to try out this new option! Thank you! Hugs, CoCo
ReplyDeleteJust the sort of products I like. Things are looking up here, many of the restrictions are already being lifted, I'm hoping to go our with my camera today to enjoy our spring.
