Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and while I don't have a lot of the traditional style decorations, I enjoy using some of the romantic items I have collected over the years! I have some lovely old books, figurines, photographs- even sheet music. I have a fun piece of music entitled "Dream Kisses"- I plan to use this in some artwork, but it makes a sweet display now. The photos are of children- always charming- the group photo is hard to see, but is actually a heart shaped old photo! The antique book is "Rose In Bloom" by Louisa M Alcott- I love everything about it- the worn cover, the graphics, the soft mustard color- even the title! My favorite however, is the old chalkware figurine/wedding cake topper- it has a permanent place on my nightstand...What are your favorite old romantic pieces?
