Spring Garden Apron Decor Project

Well, after 70 degree temps, followed by an unwelcome winter storm...
I am still thinking spring!
This week I put together a little spring garden decor
project using an old work apron!

I used an old work apron found at a garage sale last year.
It is waist length on me, and would be a long apron on a child.
It is just the right size for a wall hanging piece!
A vintage pants hanger is perfect for holding the apron...
the clips are adjustable to right where you need the piece to be held.

Then I started adding fun vintage garden goodies...

I love this old children's book which teaches about buds in the spring.

A vintage seed box is perfect.

I hung the piece on framed chicken wire...
but wouldn't it be charming on a door, too?

I think this old apron will be fun to decorate all through the year!

Until next time...

  9. Impressive! A gardener would just LOVE that! I think the chicken wire in the frame just completely sets it off perfectly.

  10. Oh Linda, this is lovely! And so clever! It seems you can make anything vintage work as decoration :-) I have a pile of vintage aprons, inherited from my grandmother, all in pristine condition and with beautiful prints. I keep thinking that it is a shame that they only come out of the closet once a year for a wash and an iron. I should learn form you.
