A Visit to the Bachman's Spring Ideas House...

Last week my daughter, Liana and I paid a FUN visit to the Bachman's Spring Ideas House in Minneapolis, Minnesota!  You may have heard about this on some other blogs, too~ Bachman's is a very well known gardening, landscaping, and home decor company in the Twin Cities.  Ki Nassauer, of Flea Market Style, Junk Revolution, and Junk Bonanza, along with many talented artisans recently developed a whole line of vintage junk creations, antiques, and decor that are prominently featured in the stores.  On the flagship store property is a house built in the 1920's which served as a Bachman family home until 2001.  Now it is being used as a wonderful ideas house, which will be redecorated four times a year.  The Ideas House Coordinator is Angie Grande, Ki Nassauer is the Vintage Consultant, and Larry Pfarr is the Visual Director- they were aided by many others in putting this all together.  For those of you who are not able to visit, I'll share photos and ideas from this fabulous house all this week! Today I'll start with the sun porch, entryway, and dining room.   Hope you enjoy it!
The planters were beautiful, of course...
The sun porch was very welcoming with a great day bed and vintage quilt pillows...
Fun ceiling decorations...
In the entryway, this wonderful birdbath planter...
and a fun coat rack with c-clamp hooks!
The dining room was full of spring ideas- I realized I was so focused on them, that I didn't get an overall photo...oh well, the ideas are great!  Look at this great wall of teacup shadow boxes...
Directly under the shadow boxes was a great glass topped table over fun bedspring candleholders...
The tin top table was dressed with lots of milk glass, vintage fabric, mismatched china...
look at these fun junk place card holders- they are made from cistern cups filled with grass...
I love this vintage plant holder re-purposed to hold cupcakes- so cute!
I love how they dressed the window- wire wrapped the rod and dropped crystals- so pretty in the sunlight!
Two built in china cabinets flanked the window- they hung pieces on the back cabinet walls for a fun look!
Tomorrow, I'll share the fun kitchen...
Until next time...
