One part of blogging I really enjoy is the way we share other blogs we enjoy and talented artisans! My friend Brenda Weber of Autumn Place Arts is an talented artist and antique dealer. I've had the pleasure of being a dealer with her at Haupt Antiek Market and Junk Bonanza. She makes wonderful jewelry from recycled objects and is also well known for her typewriter jewelry~ which was featured in a Country Living Magazine article about Haupt
look at these fun pendants...
She also makes wonderful pieces with recycled items that she collects...
She loves to do custom "Junk Drawer Heirlooms" where she creates special pieces made from a customer's sentimental pieces~ rings, watches, etc...She has created many wonderful custom keepsakes!
She also is working with Bachman's (you may remember my series on their Ideas House ) creating wonderful silverware plant stakes for their new vintage home line...these are herb stakes, but she makes them with many different words and sayings...
Brenda also is a fun re-use designer! She and her husband, Tom, made 15-20 pieces for HGTV's Decorating Cents, Trash to Treasure segments in the 2006-2007 season. Remember this cute dog bed?
Right now, she has a wonderful feature in the August 2010 Romantic Homes Magazine! You can find it on pages 18-19!
I hope you'll check out the article! You can visit Brenda on her website at http://www.autumnplacearts.com/
and can contact her about jewelry and plant stakes by email or by phone at (952) 221-1746. She'd love to hear from you!
