Some Fun Finds...


With the holiday weekend, there weren't too many garage sales around here this week, so my son and I visited some thrift stores instead!  I always love finding vintage metal trophies~ so kitschy~ and it's fun using the tops in art projects!
 Vintage maps are great for their graphic look~ this one is from a National Forest...


One of my favorite finds this week is this little 1945 Scottish souvenir book~ the inside features the different tartans of the clans...



Look at this great salt glaze jug...


and this wonderful old book my son found for me~ Farm Ballads!  The wonderful gray color and gilt design is so pretty~ this is going on my mantle for fall! 


Look at this lovely inscription...


This is a lovely old Ralph Waldo Emerson book...


This group of little 6" bottles will be fun to alter!


Another fun find was this set of lighter weight tole floral candle sconces~ they have a charming shabby cottage feel...

    COOL finds Linda. Hey if you ever want to sell that Scottish book let me know...I have very good friend who is scottish and loves all that kind of stuff...she would adore that book:)

    My favorite is the book with the inscription. I love vintage handwriting! You should come to my house. If I could talk my husband out of them, I would be glad to give you all his old softball trophies taking up room in my attic!!!!
