A Sweet Giveaway Win and Fun Photos...
Monday, September 6, 2010
I recently won a wonderful giveaway from Carol of The Polka Dot Closet ! She is such a nice blog friend and was recently featured in the September 2010 issue of Romantic Homes Magazine for her charming paper doll projects! She did a post about it~ if you didn't see the magazine, you can see it here ~ and she had a great giveaway of one of her beautiful framed pieces~ this one is Taylor! So sweet, and I love all the little fun vintage accents, too~ the millinery flowers, a doily, button and trim...and of course, the polka dot background!
some of her cute tags...
and her cute cards! She also has pieces available at her online store The Polka Dot Closet ! Be sure and visit her fun blog and online store! Thank you so much, Carol~ I am SO happy to have little Taylor and your other fun goodies in my home!
Before I go, I thought I'd share a couple of fun photos I took recently! We had a sudden storm with heavy rain and hail which stopped as suddenly as it started! It was followed by this beautiful double rainbow...the second one is a little hard to see...
Also this week, I spotted this huge iridescent dragonfly on our porch window screen...
Look at the markings on the head~ like a big eye ~
I thought it was just beautiful...
Hope your day has some beauty, too!
Until next time...
Linda

Hi Linda!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great
photo of the
dragonfly...
I haven't seen
one that big;
mainly just the
skinny blue ones!
Sweet little paper
doll vignette, lucky
girl : )! Hope
your week is going
well and I will
look for you next
Friday at JB!
xx Suzanne
I've seen some big ones around my yard - that's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteThose paper dolls are so charming! What a lovely win!
Manuela
Linda, that dragonfly is exquisite! It reminds me of some of the amazing jeweled dragonflies I saw at the Grand Bazaar in Turkey (only yours is real, and therefore much more magnificent).
ReplyDeleteLinda, I really like your new blog look. I love those paper dolls - how many of us played with those as little girls, I know I did. Thanks for keeping the quote from Leo - it is so true - and you have multiplied that sentiment many times through your blog.
ReplyDeleteThat is just toooo cute!
ReplyDeletePerfect for a nursery or little girls room!
Love it!
