Some Fun Finds...
Friday, February 18, 2011
This week, On Valentine's Day, my husband suggested we go do a little treasure hunting! Sounded like a great Valentine's date to me!
We found some vintage sheet music, as well as this old music book appropriately entitled "Harmony", and a couple of old camp meeting music booklets...
In the craft area, I found five packages of rub on transfer letters in different fonts- 39 cents each!
Lots of trims...
and a great old mirror! The glass is tarnished and beveled, and I love the unusual square shape!
Look at this great old handmade toy fort~ the roof is made of popsicle sticks! I love the folk art feel of this!
This spice rack was a great find! The labels peeled off easily...
and now it is being used in my studio to hold glitters I've been collecting...
Hope you had some fun finds this week, too!
I am linking up to A La Carte's Junkin Finds Friday
Until next time...
Linda

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are inveterate collectors together. In fact we've had to declare a moratorium on it for awhile especially after our last trip it's starting to overflow!

Oh, the sweet finds on sweethearts day, Linda! I fell for the mirror, love the beveled mirrors. Vintage ones are hard to come by. And the camp song books, Lincoln log fort, what a fun day. Thanks for the tour.

See now, this is why I blog, I think if I were to tell my local friends that I had a rack for my glitter they would smile, nod their heads, and back away slowly. But here we smile, nod our heads, and exclaim "Oh, what a fantastic idea!"
ReplyDeleteLove your new guest room, can't wait to see what other goodies you add.
