Some Fun Finds...

Thank you all for your sweet get-well wishes!  I'm not 100% yet, but I am getting my voice back!  Thought I'd share a few finds from a stop at the thrift store last week!  Vintage seam binding is always a great find for me...and I love the soft buttery color on one of the rolls!  And I found another stoneware bowl...think I need to display some of these on my hutch soon!  I love the farmhouse feeling they have!

Isn't this aluminum lamb mold cute?  Fun for springtime decorating!

The colors and pattern on the vintage English candy tin are so pretty...

and I loved the colors and print on a pair of placemats, too.  Such a feeling of French Country to me!

I used one under the spring flowers I shared last post...

Here's an unusual find for me...a burlap coffee sack!  It's newer, but I love the graphics and think it will be fun to use in a project!

Finally, this old wallpaper brush has a wonderful vintage patina...

Another day...another thrift store...

I am joining Debra of Common Ground with some of my ETSY goodies for Monday Marketplace!

Until next time...

  1. sorry to hear you have been sick.
    Get better soon.
That tin is the exact same shape of the one I have from my grandmother.
I keep it on our coffee table.
Is it from the Murry Allen Company?
    Your tin is super cute!!
And yes love any seam bindings.
    Great scores as always.

  2. Hi Linda!

  14. Love your finds...I saw a little lamb like that AND a Dunn Bros. coffee sack like that when I stopped at an antique store in Buffalo on Friday...cute cute. Thought about grabbing them too :) Chat soon, Laurel

  15. Great finds, Linda. I don't what I love most. Certainly the seam binding and the tin Lamb mold is right up there. The stoneware crock is great too ... and the colorful tin! What a good thrifting day you had. Makes me want to go out on the hunt today but I simply MUST get some of this stuff listed in my shop(s). Oh, and thanks for the tip on the curlers! I hate shopping when it's so busy on the weekend but maybe I'll go buy them today.

  16. Fun finds Linda. Love the packaging on the seam binding and that bowl is awesome. I have a real similar one I bought years ago and would never part with it. New or old, that coffee bag is a great find.

  17. All great finds, but the wallpaper brush caught my eye. I haven't stopped by Debra's new party yet, so I'll pop on over there right now.

  18. Glad to hear that you are on the mend!
That is a sweet tin. Pretty fun colors. Haven't been shopping for awhile.
I'm going to the Gathering on Thurs and to the Idea house! Excited! Are you going??

  19. Love all your fun finds. That wallpaper brush does have wonderful patina. I often see stuff like that and like it, but then think about what it really is and then don't end up buying it. Old brushes are popular right now though.

  20. I am glad you are feeling better!!! Love that lamb mold!!!! So sweet!!

  21. Absolutely love the lamb mold, Linda. And that old wallpaper brush, too. Gee, I used to use one just like that before I found that using a Squeegie worked much better. LOL

  22. I've seen those coffee sacks and they really do have wonderful designs. I'm sure you'll do something creative with them!

  23. My family makes a lamb cake with that mold every year for Easter. It is tradition, in fact everyone who has gotten married into our family has one. One of those things I am always on the lookout for any new additions to the family :) Let me know if you need the recipe.

  24. The wee lamb mold is darling. I have affection for old sewing notions too and picked up some wooden thread spools Friday.

  25. Linda, I love the little lamb mold and the English tin is beautiful.
    Hope you are 100% soon.

  26. Glad you're feeling a bit better! :) I was sick for two FULL weeks and I'm still coughing my head off. I honestly think I might have had a touch of pneumonia. I'm glad it's about gone!
I'll definitely put some pics on my blog when my veggies get into full swing. I have some cilantro, green onions, sugar snap peas and spinach growing out there right now. :) Yummy! I can't wait till it gets big enough to eat. :)
Loved your bowl and all your other goodies! I've said it before and I'll say it again...You find the BEST stuff when you shop! :)
    Have a great week girlie!

  27. Love that little lamb mold. How cute. You as always have the eye and come home with the best goodies.

  28. How in the world do you manage to find so many good things?! I have an affinity for little sewing bits, so I really love that yellow seam binding. Hope you feel all better soon :)

  29. Those are some great finds, once again.
I'm glad you're feeling better, it's important to have your voice back!
    Hugs, Cindy

  31. Wow, Linda,
These are some fabulous finds!!! I've never seen seem binding on a roll, it sure is great.
    And the lamb....oh,my!

  32. I love that burlap coffee sack. The graphics are amazing and it looks so clean. A lot of old sacks are not quite so clean :)

  33. Love the lamb!! So, Easter and cute!
    Have a great weekend :)
I hope you do well at your Sale.
