We spent this weekend down at the lake...there were a couple of big estate sales we wanted to go to, as well as a nearby town had city-wide garage sales! I was too busy treasure hunting to take a lot of pics, but thought I'd share a few. The first sale was on a big farm...
On the first day of the sale, this driveway was filled with cars, trucks, trailers and people! I took these photos on the second day when we went back for half-off goodies and deals! Not the best photos...some are from my car or phone...
The charming farmhouse was full of all kinds of small items...
And a huge pole barn was FULL of rustic stuff...be still my heart...
Our trailer carried two loads back...it's looking dusty from dirt roads. Look inside...that is an old iron jail door my daughter took home! You sure don't see those everyday! I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it!
We found ALL KINDS of old stuff and LOTS of rusty and chippy goodies that we will be re-purposing and I'll be sharing with you in the future. But here's a couple of fun items I'll share today. How about this big farm advertising sign?
and my FAVORITE find of the day...these great old lockers! The sign and lockers will be headed for Junk Bonanza in September!
This little guy is staying with me, though... I love the rusty, chippy patina...
It really was a great weekend! Just fun being with family, enjoying the outdoors, and junkin'!
I am joining Debra of Common Ground's Monday Marketplace with some fun etsy goodies!
Next post I'll share my tour of the 2012 Bachman's Spring Ideas House!
Until next time...
Wow, love those lockers! How much to ship to NJ? ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd that truck would have come home with me too!

ReplyDeleteI had a laugh at that jail cell door. You said you couldn't wait to see what they did with it ...I couldn't help wonder WHAT THE PREVIOS OWNER DID WITH IT AND HOW THEY GOT IT?
ReplyDeleteQuite interesting... looks like you got quite the haul, had tons of fun...and snagged several conversation pieces. I bet we've not see the last of these!
Pat

ReplyDeleteHello Linda
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting :)
In answer to your question...
I get a notification in my email box that you have left a comment.... and what the comment is.... I click on that to see the same comment on my blog but I've never received an email from you that is not a comment. If that makes sense?
Yes I would appreciate you telling me how to change!!! I am sorry if it appeared I had ignored any emails - I'd never do that

Hi Linda
ReplyDeleteMe again!
I followed your brilliant instructions when you get a minute will you give it a test for me please :)
Karen
I would have to keep the truck too! I can't wait to hear what they do with the jail door, what a great find. The sign you found is pretty cool too, we have lockers in our barn that hold all of the camping gear and baseball stuff, I love them! I wish I would have been able to convince Duane that they needed to be in the house before he filled them up! t.xooxox
ReplyDeleteI love the lockers. They are awesome. You found some great things and I'm anxious to see more.
ReplyDeleteI love your goodies Linda!!! I'm getting ready to redo Gracen's room and those lockers would be perfect in there! To bad we are not closer! I sure wish we was, we would have a ball together!
ReplyDeleteTake care!
