A Vintage Vignette...
Sunday, May 27, 2012
Recently I put together a little vignette out of some vintage goodies. I found a lovely tureen which was missing its lid, lined it with burlap and added a fern. This one is actually a high quality artificial...one I can take care of!
If you've been reading my blog awhile, you know I have a thing for vintage dog figurines...such a sweet face...
This old chippy metal box was found at a recent antique sale along with 2 old Norwegian books.
Look at the wonderful marbled covers...
and leather spines.
Isn't this a beautiful old bookplate?
And the page graphics are lovely, too...
Until next time...I'll be taking a little blog break to spend some time with my parents and family...be back soon!

The tureen is a nice idea. And, I'm all for the "easy-care" plants. I'm good at outdoor gardening, but don't do so well with indoor plants. I'm in love with the Norwegian books!

Your vingette is wonderful. The books are so pretty and so is the tureen but the tiny dog is the sweetest thing. I almost picked up one like it at the store the other day but for some reason I passed. Now I'm wishing I hadn't.
ReplyDeletePretty vignette ...love the pup.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the time with parents, see you when you get back!
