Last spring, I bought this wonderful stencil over at ArtisticStencils on etsy! I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, but loved how it looked! When it came time for Junk Bonanza, I needed to add a skirt to the bottom of our cash register table. Using a thrifted homespun type fabric tablecloth, I tore sections for the front panel and two side pieces. A dry brush technique with regular acrylic brown paint and a small foam brush, gave me the look I wanted. I don't plan to wash this fabric, but would probably have wanted to use fabric paint if I planned to clean it.
Such a great look, and so many different words and numbers can be used on different projects!
I also needed a display for business cards, pens, etc., and used a little wood tote I found at a garage sale...
I painted it white, stenciled both sides, and distressed it a little.
Left over fabric was tied with a vintage cloth tape measure and attached to the front panel...
We simply attached it at the corners with upholstery tacks. It worked perfectly to cover all of our supplies and bags...
I think this stencil is so versatile!
Peggy at Artistic Stencils makes her own stencils~ they are very nice quality and reasonably priced! She has many other wonderful stencils in her etsy shop ,too! She also has a fun blog called Vintage Feedsacks where she shares graphics and clip art!
