A Farmhouse Feeling...


Well, the last of the Christmas decorations are finally put away, and it feels good to be getting my house back in order!  I worked on my hutch this week and I've brought back the farmhouse feeling that I love.  Thought I'd share some of the pieces I've brought together here...













Thank you all for the get well wishes and kind comments about my winter mantel in my last post!  The cold/flu is finally making its way out of the house...hope it misses your home!

    I love your theme for the hutch. One of my favorites is your clothes pin display. Brings back memories of years ago when my mom would have us hang the clothes on the line. All your chickens are also great.

    Yes, I love the farm house look and feel. Guess it's the farm girl in our genes, sort of Back In The Day of when our Grandparents lived on the farm

    Your hutch displays are always favorites of my. I'm thinking this version is the best so far. I love the pretty dishes and linens and of course the dog figures are adorable. Must make a note to myself to add that to my list of itmes to look for. I love the addition of the basket filled with pretty linen and the clothespins are a wonderful, untraditional additon that I think is genius!

    You make hutch displays looks so effortless, whereas I always struggle and fall a little sort of the vision I have in my head.

    A hutch full of favorites. What a great collection of vintage, took awhile to look at each piece. Enjoyed and will be visiting for a second/third look too as I redo my hutch shelves. You shared some great combinations Linda. A treat.

    Finally...I can comment again, yay! I hope you continue to feel better, and your hutch looks SO pretty with all of your wonderful vintage pieces. I love the little Boston Terrier figurine! We are putting the last of Christmas away this morning, and even though we didn't put things out until the week before Christmas, I'm happy to see it all tucked safely back in the garage.

    Your hutch looks wonderful - really love the look! The photos of the eggs and the clothespins are really nice too!

    Did your hutch come in the two tone finish...or did you paint it that way? My dining room hutch is very similar to your hutch, and I've been considering painting some of it black. Your hutch has inspired me!

    Linda, I am glad to hear you are feeling better, although I think I missed hearing that you had the flu. We've been lucky since our move not have gotten sick and while I've never had the flu, I've heard it is just awful and this year in particular. Here's to a healthy spring for you! Your hutch looks just wonderful and I am amazed at how you can achieve a "look" by adding certain items and a particular color scheme. Holla to the Boston! Ann
