Between snowstorms this week, I visited a few thrift shops and the first neighborhood wide garage sale of the season! It was so great to be outdoors enjoying a few warm days and finding some goodies, too! This large angel cherub was an unusual find...my immediate thought was that this must be some sort of modern reproduction of an old church decoration, but now I'm not sure and I've been unable to find much information or others quite like it. It has a carved signature on the back, which appears to be Avocet. Have any of you seen something like this before?
It is put together with pegs...
I love this chippy little bench...such a fun piece...
This set of linen placemats have pretty fleur-de-lis decoration...
and this beautiful crocheted piece (folded here) is a bedspread...
truly lovely...
There were lots of old hangers this week...
and this large old wood butter tub!
I think this chocolate egg mold is newer, but very decorative!
One of my favorite finds this week was an old souvenir book of Paris! Wait until you see what's inside...
Every page features a beautiful scene of Paris!
This large print is a reproduction of an old French piece...I have a companion in my dining room already...
There were threads and buttons...
and a wonderful ephemera find of photos and old Christmas cards!
I can hardly wait to get out there again...now if only the weather will cooperate (it's actually snowing again as I type)!

Until next time...happy treasure hunting!
Oh, envious of you finding the angel! I love angels and that one is a beauty! I would be interested to know its history. The bedspread is lovely as well as your other finds!
