Most of the leaves are down here in Minnesota and we even had a snow day last week! The highs are in the 20's the next couple of days, so I guess there is no doubt that winter is on the way. The harvest and Halloween decorations are down and put away for another year, and I have been transitioning into winter
and holiday decorating, this year with
a little north woods influence.
I love this thrift store urn I found this week...
perfect with cinnamon scented pinecones...
I added plaid covers over some
of my throw pillows-
these are from IKEA for $4 each...
Naturally shed antlers are perfect...
Vintage turkeys are ready for Thanksgiving...
and undecorated greens give a woodsy feeling...
I love the cozy feeling in the house right now...

I love your decorating. I always have to talk myself into getting the Christmas stuff out. I just don't LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteI do love the cabiny, Northwoods look though.
It will be a Country Christmas for us!!
xo Kris
I agree with Kris. Your home looks lovely.
DeleteEverything looks so cozy Linda. You've got that special touch. I especially love Ikea's plaid pillow covers and the greenery in the chandelier. Although I can't believe how cold it is already there! I hope all is well with you,

Brrrrr! It's getting cold in your neck of the woods and your decorating is perfect for that cozy cabin feeling! I love all your woodland touches. Christmas is coming way too fast for me but you are inspiring me to at least think about it. Stay warm - Have a lovely week. xo Karen
ReplyDeleteI think your Minnesota weather is the same as ours here, Linda.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks so very cozy now with the green garlands and the pinecones in your wonderful urns- a lovely way to start the holyday decorations!!
Hugs, Dorthe
Hi Linda, Brr it is so cold in Minnesota already! Our trees leaves are just starting to turn, here in Texas. The nights finally feel like Fall. I've barely had time to enjoy my pumpkin weather. But I do love all the Winter greenery. Your Home looks warm, loving and inviting.
ReplyDeleteYour fall vignettes are perfect. Love all the brown hues. And the feathers in the turkey planter are perfect. FYI, we're getting snow tonight here in Ohio :(
ReplyDeleteYour home is looking warm and cozy and just the place you want to be when it's cold outside, Linda. I'm loving the plaid pillow covers!
ReplyDeleteLinda
ReplyDeleteI love your pine cones, plaids and antlers. Using things from nature is my favorite way to decorate.
Snow here, so I'm definiely in the mood for winter decor
Linda- I love all your woodsy accents. It really does feel like deep Fall with those accents. Amazing price on the pillow covers. You couldn't even buy the fabric for that price! Hope you have a great day- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOur Ikea is 35 miles from here or I'd be on my way to get some of those pillow covers! Love your woodsy decorating, haven't had snow yet I hope it stays away but know it won't.lol
ReplyDeleteMy first thought as I scrolled through the photos was how cozy it looked! Winter is definitely on it's way. We had a little snow overnight. Our first snow had melted but I don't think this will not melt for a few days. Brr, it's cold.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week!
Oh how I love your plan for the winter and holiday decorations. What fun. Everyone should have a little North Woods in the home don't you think!
ReplyDeleteThe days are getting nippy here too, but not as chilly as yours! I love your vintage turkeys and how you are easing into the holidays...lovely!

Your little touches have such a nice, cozy feel! Don't you love those cinnamon scented pinecones?! They always get me in the mood for the holiday season :)
ReplyDeleteYour decorative touches are beautiful...I love your thrift store urn and the feathers in the back of the turkey. It's cold here in northern IL, too. We got about an inch of snow yesterday and it's only 20 degrees this morning.
ReplyDeleteCozy is the perfect word for it Linda, just lovely. Do you know they are selling antlers at the pet store as dog chews?!? One of the puppies I "babysit" was going to town on one and I asked his momma about them. I went to the store and the guy working there said, they are the latest thing and dogs love them. Snapped up two for Panda and Sadie - do they like them? Of course not, the ingrates! Go figure. Ann
ReplyDeleteLove the way you have infused just the right amount of fall into your decor. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Patti
I love the cosy feel in your house too.
ReplyDeleteThose turkeys are so cute!
