With St. Patrick's Day this week, I began to think I would like to have an Irish blessing in my home. There are so many wonderful ones...you can Google it, or look on Pinterest.
There are lots of printables and I thought I might print one out and frame it. But then I noticed the big, blank chalkboard in our entryway (yeah, I'm smart like that lol) and decided it was the perfect place.
The verse I found really spoke to me, and made me think differently about the crowded gatherings in our home...
Using a big frame found inexpensively at an antique store, this chalkboard was created for my daughter's wedding. It has ornate, chippy styling and is a fun keepsake...
I wrote the verse with simple printed and cursive writing...nothing fancy...it's not something I have a lot of skill with.
As I said...a VERY simple project, but one that I am very happy with!
Until next time...
Oh I love this quote...I just wrote it down to remember to use it on my chalkboard some time. You did a beautiful job!

So pretty! A friend sent this to me via Pinterest. I have a homemade chalkboard much like yours. Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the verse and that frame was "just made for it". Beautiful and such a great idea.
ReplyDeleteAlso ... just wanted to pop over and say hi and thanks for the nice comment you made on Diana’s Adirondack Girls featuring Timeless Treasures on her Featured Blog of the Week. She is one sweet, kind and helpful lady. I so enjoyed reading all the nice comments. I will try to visit your blog more often. I am sure I will be inspired.
Thanks again,

Sometimes simple is the best, and love the saying. I think I have the worse handwriting/printing in the world...so when I try something like this it looks terrible. It is a perfect saying...
ReplyDeleteI loved this saying...
ReplyDeletedidn't you post it on IG too...

I love your simple handwritten message on your chalkboard, Linda! It's got a great chippy frame, too, and a nice history of being used for your daughter's wedding. I wish I had a big (empty) wall to hang a big chalkboard like yours!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet quotation--it's perfect on your lovely chalkboard! Blessings, Cecilia
