I'm just back from a fun week of gathering with lots of family over the 4th at our family lakehome! It was a time of re-connecting, sharing, fireworks, fishing, boating, swimming, eating, and naps in the hammock! It has been a lovely summer here in Minnesota!
Thank you for your kind comments on my last post about our porch redecorating project!
I haven't shared any vintage finds for awhile, so thought I'd share some retro summer goodies with you today! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook (I'd love for you to join me!) you may already have seen this wonderful gameboard! It was at a yard sale and I bought two others there as well! It is hanging on the brick wall in our kitchen at the lake. I love the bright colors...
This puzzle is so cute! I love the colors and the graphics, too!
Isn't this a cute little child's sand bucket? Not something I see at the thrift store everyday! I love the graphics and it's rusty patina...
I found some great tiki glasses and a spaghetti pitcher...
You know I love Americana...
these miniature Gadsden flags were a nice find...
as was this wonderful large folk art Washington triptych painting! The artist painted the flag with 48 stars so it is post 1912. From the age of the piece, I'm am guessing teens-20's era. We have the flags and painting in our entryway now.
Have you had any lucky finds this summer?
Until next time...I hope you are enjoying summer while it lasts!
You find the neatest treasures!

You always find such amazing treasures in your neck of the woods! I'm off to look at the shop....
ReplyDeleteI can still here the noise my little metal beach pail made when I moved the handle after many years of taking it to the beach. And that game board is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI love everything you found, lucky lady, but I sure wish I could find a few tin sand pails for my granddaughter to have at the lake I know they rust so we would keep them in good shape. Just so nostalgic!
ReplyDeleteFamily time is so special and on the 4th...it's a little more relaxed and carefree than other holidays, don't you agree?
Thanks for your nice comments---getting by slowly! ;-)
Jane xx
That little sand bucket is the most darling thing!

You are such a great finder of interesting and beautiful things and items with real character. I love to see them:)
ReplyDeleteNo fab finds here..... although I did buy a lovely old green jug for my kitchen, £8.50 so not especially a bargain but I fell in love with the colour and shape, much cheaper and much nicer than buying new though :)
