The Bachman's 2015 Fall Ideas House...

It's that time again...the Bachman's Fall Ideas House tour!

If this is your first visit to a tour, Bachman's is a home and garden, floral, and landscaping business in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.  Three times a year, they showcase new and seasonal products and trends, re-purposed items, and some vintage items in a 1920's family home home on the flagship property.  The room uses are often switched up from previous houses. The Bachman's team of visual merchandisers, floral designers, floral specialists, and maintenance team bring it all together and share their ideas...and 20% of the $5 ticket price goes to charity.

The theme for this Ideas House is "Rustic Meets Refined".
It was dark and rainy the day we visited,
but I've done my best to keep things light!
I'll let the photos do most of the talking...
starting with the front porch...

On to the living room/sunroom space...
The "stone" on the fireplace wall is wallpaper!

sunroom wallpaper and drapery fabric...

On through the dining room and kitchen...

Love this windowsill herb garden...

a vintage ironing board holds an apron hook...

finally...the powder room...

Hope you enjoyed part one of the tour!
Next time, we'll head upstairs!

Also, there's always a link at the top of the page which leads to a page with posts from all of the previous Bachman's Ideas House Posts or you can click here.  There have been some wonderful ideas houses in the past ...full of inspiration!

Until next time...

  5. OK, this is going to sound pretty random, with all the eye candy you've shown us. But I love that box on top of the toilet tank with the toilet paper and washcloths in it. I'm going to run and grab a box and do that in my bathroom :)

  10. Oh, gosh, Linda, I LOVE this tour! I think this year's is even better than last year's! Do they let the public purchase any of this stuff? I'd be doing some major damage in a place like that. Loved your really great photos, and looking forward to the upstairs! Thanks for sharing.

    1. Everything in the house is for sale. people can take their items when the house closes for that season. Much is also available in their retail stores and some is online, too.

  16. those car ramps over the kitchen stove, to make the mantel is probably the most fantastic re-use of junk I've seen lately. What is the top made of, do you know?
This house looks pretty promising this time... I can't wait to check out the next post!
As always thanks for taking us on the tour!

  17. Good Morning Linda,

  18. Thank you so much for sharing all these photos of the Idea House, Linda! I'm having computer problems, so I'm only able to leave one comment (way overdue for a new laptop). The outdoor space is gorgeous! I wish they'd come and decorate my window boxes for fall. In the photo gallery room, I'm smitten with the simple framed words to Wonderful World- one of my all time favorite tunes. There's just so much inspiration to be found, I have to scroll back and view everything one more time. Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend!

  19. I was probably going to comment on something else but now I can't get the wallpaper out of my mind - it is similar to my old living room couch with out the paisley swirls. I think I need to do a post on that couch, in case it's coming back in style.
