A Little Valentine Decorating...and Sharing the Love

It's nearly February, and time for a little Valentine decorating!
I don't do big changes.  I can usually get the feeling with just a few decorations and a little leftover red color from Christmas.
I added a simple banner to this boxwood wreath...
miscellaneous styles of letters strung on baker's twine...

A few hearts dress up the hutch...

and a cute jam jar holds Hershey's kisses!

Simply setting out some of my pretty red cookware...

and some cute coffee cups, sets the mood!

I found the red cup at the thrift store recently,
along with this black iron rack to display them...

This love message hangs in our entryway.
I added little magnets to back of some wooden letters so they
can be easily removed from the decorative metal wall piece.

Simple decorating, but for me it's just enough.

As I've been going through my craft supplies, I put together a fun pack of vintage Valentine and red colored goodies for crafting and decorating.
I'm going to share the love with one of my readers!

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED

If you would like a chance to receive this, just leave me a comment below! I'll draw a name Friday Feb 3rd, 10 PM Central Time!  {And please be sure to enable your email on google or leave a way to reach you...I'm unable to contact many of you.}
THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED.

Until next time...

  3. What a fun and adorable prize package. My mother passed on to me my father's baby book and inside it were many now vintage welcome baby cards along with all his first holiday cards. (He was born in 1938) There are also many Valentines. I have wonderful memories of looking through his book, as a child, and being enthralled by how ornate some of the cards were. I loved the simple ones, too... I just loved them all! I've never thought to bring them out in display but I believe I will give that a try this year.

Like you, I add some red & hearts to my "winter décor" to spread the love for Valentine's Day! Love the give-away and it would certainly add just the right touch to my hutch. My dear father in law who passed away 3 years ago was born in 1917...it makes that card signing very special!

  27. Your simple touches are just perfect, Linda. I have found that as I get older, simple (in every which way) is better. Since my kitchen and living room were just under construction and I'm just now putting everything back together, the only Valentine's Day decorating I did was to put a few things in the small china cabinet in the kitchen. I thought I'd miss dressing up the table, etc. but found I don't.

I love the wainscoting and the trim on your kitchen cabinets, too. Have you featured your kitchen before? Maybe I have a bad memory, but the cabinets don't look familiar to me.

Thank you for the chance to win one of your sweet giveaways!
