A Whimsical Mantel for Spring and Easter

This year I went with very simple, whimsical
mantel decorations for spring and Easter!

I started with a new blackboard download from Dear Lillie.
I always love her designs...

Then I added lots of whimsical spring and Easter decor.
This ceramic chocolate bunny is holding a big egg painted by our youngest granddaughter, last year when she was two.  I love treasures like this...

You could find rabbits at the thrift store and paint them
with gloss brown paint, to get this look!

I used my rusty old toy truck to pull a little trailer of eggs...

under the watchful eye of a flocked bunny.

This big rabbit statue is a favorite...chippy, rusty, aqua spring fun!

Before I go...
You might have seen this over on my Instagram.
These are chalkboard paint eggs with chalk...from Walmart for $1.98! So cute!

A big thank you for all of your nice comments and well wishes!
I am working hard at physical therapy and resting!

Until next time...

  5. I'm all about simplicity these days, and you've captured a simple whimsical look for your Easter mantel, Linda. I love your vintage truck pulling an extra large load of colored eggs with the flocked bunny keeping watch! And the egg painted by your granddaughter is a lovely little treasure. You've inspired me to bring some spring inside our home, too.

I'm glad you're well on your way to recovery and I hope you're soaking up some of that MN sunshine today!

  6. Beautiful. I'm partial to the bunny "bust" and love the combination of fonts used for the Easter message.
