The summer is flying by...it's nearly August already! In Minnesota we don't have a lot of summer left, so I have been trying to enjoy it!
Our gardens are lush this year...
I thought I'd share some of my recent Instagram photos with you!
These coreopsis flowers brightened a dark and rainy day...
and you can see the tomatoes growing, too!
The trumpet vine is beginning to bloom now.
And we have spent some time at the lake...the drive there is beautiful.
And when we arrive it is all about relaxing, and the water.
These little guys came visiting right before a storm...
We had rainy days, hot days, cool days, and beautiful sunsets.
I love how our neighbors' dock lights reflect beautifully...
And of course...there is always fishing.
I hope you are enjoying your summer!

Until next time...
What great photos- There is nothing like lights on docks at night. I put larger ones down on our dock this year and it is so cool to look down and see them at night. The old ones hardly showed from the house.
ReplyDeleteI won't sign up for the giveaway because I have been purging and getting rid of things and don't DARE add another thing to my storage area.
Hope you have a great night- xo Diana
Just want to tell you that your photos are gorgeous. Don't enter me in the giveaway, either, I was recently given two big boxes of card making supplies and have all I can use for now.
ReplyDeleteYour gardens looks lush--I'm guessing the humidity! That's the only benefit here...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous views of your lake. The sunset makes for some cool silhouettes. Great shots. You are right about the fast Minnesota summers and it's the same here for us. It makes me sad that we are past the halfway mark and I feel a bit guilty complaining. In six months we will be fretting over the cold!
Great giveaway---you are so generous, Linda!

Gorgeous photos. Makes me want to take a vacation right now! What a fun giveaway! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWell count me in! I can't have too many toys to play with!! Beautiful photos, love the one of the dock also, the water and the lights are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy reading your blog and the wonderful pictures. Would love to win your give away!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't everyone in MN dream of having a cabin? This summer has been too hot, I'm not getting outside as much as I'd like to, but my tomatoes are LOVING the heat. Love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteAh, those photos of the dock are beautiful. There is just something about late evening silhouetted figures that just really move me. Thanks for the kind offer of a giveaway! Good luck to me and to everyone else! : ) I think my email is enabled......
ReplyDeleteI got it, Lynne...thank you!
DeleteYour lake photos are stunning...the fishermen silhouette is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures. Just spent a week at the beach . . . but I still prefer a lake to the ocean or gulf.
ReplyDeleteLove your lake views! So inviting. My hostas bit the dust months ago. Pretty much everything is drying up now.

Love the lights on your decks. The trumpet plant is looking so beautiful. Your lake home is lovely. Enjoy.

That dock picture is just awesome. I can hear the water and the crickets as I picture myself sitting out on it. Please enter me in the drawing. I love it! I appreciate the giveaway and hope you have a great evening. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWe love our lake house too. I never get tired of sitting on the dock.
ReplyDeleteYour yard is just beautiful, Linda! What a blessing to have a lake house--it looks so wonderfully relaxing. Here's hoping summer lasts a little longer than usual for you this year :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely garden and lake house, Linda. It look so relaxing!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos! The lake looks so inviting. Nothing like beautiful sunsets and lights reflecting at night!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the process of purging so please don't add me to the giveaway. You have some awesome things though! Hope your week is going well!

A lake vacation sounds wonderful to me. Your garden looks so lush and pretty. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog. And love the photos. I miss the water! I'm an east coast girl living in the Midwest! Bonnie
ReplyDeleteYour garden is looking great, Linda, and I'm still super jealous of that trumpet vine!!
ReplyDeleteI hear you about the too-short summers! I'm enjoying every bit of it that I can - except for the humidity. ;-) Your yard looks beautiful. Love the trumpet vine. And how lucky you are to have those gorgeous views of the lake! I would probably sit outside day and night if I had those views. Thank you for including me in your giveaway!
ReplyDeleteA girl after my own heart! Beautiful post! I hope it's an "Endless Summer" for you!

Be careful with that trumpet vine. It can get under your roof and siding. That can let in rain as well as unwanted animals and insects. If this is the vine that I am thinking of, it sends off shoots underground, and it is difficult to make it stop growing all over the place. The seed pods also plant themselves.
ReplyDeleteI love your little give-away packet. I especially like the Virginia Beach envelope. I don't live there, though. I live in near-coastal, southeastern NC. Have a great summer! rush88888 at gmail dot com
Looks to me like you've got summer all figured out, Linda. Beautiful photos.

Just got home from our week at the beach, in time to enter your giveaway. I'm captivated by that set of Virginia Beach postcards as I live in VA. I wonder what stories they could tell about their journeys on the way to your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteLInda, I love your pictures, especially the sunset on the water photos. I remember peaceful day on the lake. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
