I can hardly believe we are heading into the end of October and it is nearly Halloween! This weekend we're going to a haunted trail walk (young child friendly) with some of our grandchildren. It's become a spooky fun tradition! I've also done a little front porch Halloween decorating this week,
getting ready to welcome little trick-or-treaters!

Wayfair's Halloween Decorations made it easy!
I started the porch decor with a beautiful August Grove silk wreath!
Wreaths make a real statement on a porch!
I think the pop of bright fall color on our black door is very welcoming
and is easily visible to passersby.
I used this Attract Magnetic Hanging Accessory to hold it. The hooks are very strong, and heavy duty...so nice for hanging pieces on our metal door!
They come in a two-pack with several colors, and
I'm loving not having to use an over-the-door wreath hanger.
Love the wooden crow and raffia, too!
They give the wreath a folk art, handcrafted feeling!
A new door mat always gives such a fresh look to a porch!
This Chenery Autumn Greetings Outdoor Door Mat is perfect
for welcoming guests into the house all through the fall!
I also added faux and real pumpkins along with mums...
These Pumpkin Arms and Legs are so fun!
I hadn't seen these before, and they are so whimsical!
They have bendable metal pieces to insert in a real or faux pumpkin!
I used these on a big faux jack-o-lantern pumpkin I had...
and sat him on a little bench!
It is fun to use indoors, too!
I love how the simple porch decor came together...
And for Halloween night, we'll open the front door and just use the storm door. This Witch Sheer Curtain Panel will be hung inside the glass (I used stick on hooks)for a spooky silhouette! Here I am showing it from inside the house, but at night, with a light on in the house...it will be silhouetted from the street!
When visitors look into the entryway they'll see
the fun metal pumpkin patch sign I added to the bench!
It fit perfectly in the space above the hooks.
That sign is no longer available, but I've linked another big
Metal Pumpkin Patch Sign you might like!
Halloween won't be long now...just a week away!
Until next time...
It is hard to believe that Halloween is almost here. I spent the morning changing up the clothes in my closet. Sweater weather has arrived. xo Laura

DeleteLove all of this, Linda! The wreath and mat are so pretty and I love what you did with the pumpkin and then the witch "screen" in the door. You are so clever with decorating.
ReplyDeleteLinda, you really have set up a pretty and fun entrance to welcome those trick or treaters! I can’t pick a favorite element but your pumpkin skeleton is adorable and I love the door magnet. I need a new one...Happy Halloween!!
