Fun Holiday Finds

I've done lots of Christmas decorating lately, mostly greens, but I haven't decorated the tree yet. Soon!  We have come to enjoy having the festive decorations up for Thanksgiving, too...and after Thanksgiving dinner we give out special ornaments to the grandchildren each year.   Are you doing any decorating?  Or do you wait until after Thanksgiving?
Today I thought I'd share some recent fun holiday finds with you!

I have a few thrift store finds to share!  Imagine my surprise when I found this beautiful vintage blown glass tree topper!  It is a quadruple and in very nice condition.  You collectors know what a find it is...and the fact that it was 25 cents?  That is why I shop at thrift stores!

Do you ever look for Christmas cards when thrifting?  It can be a great place to find nice cards!  I found a complete box of these pretty cards for a quarter.
I am always attracted to sparkly Christmas cards...

Another fun find was this galvanized tool caddy!

I filled it with greens and rusty bells and LED tealight battery operated flameless candles.  I use these candles in little spots all over the house! They have a very realistic dancing flickering "flame" that gives a lovely glow.

I found this great roll of wallpaper at the thrift store, too!
Love the plaid and I already have some projects in mind for it!

The other two rolls are wrapping paper found at Michaels.

I used them in the bedrooms and in the living room!
They add a little festive fun, and I love to be able to switch them out easily!

One last fun holiday find... this mailing box was on the shelf at the thrift store.  From the 70's...we sure had to see what was in it!

  1. Oh my Linda you found great pieces. The quadruple piece is amazing and can't believe the price.

We have our best friends over for Thanksgiving and they're crazy Christmas too. Everything is up before and I enjoy it because especially now I get to play with ideas more.

By the way, the plaid wallpaper is great and can't wait to see your fabulous plan for it.

    Thanks for the tealight information

  2. Oh Linda, I am inspired! I love that plaid paper. Hat boxes decoupaged and distressed. That would be a fun project! I’m working on a Santa and snowman scene so I haven’t started decorating.
