A Turkey Trot...

Time for a turkey trot!
I love vintage turkeys and it's fun to find ways to display them!

Vintage Thanksgiving turkeys

I often line them up down the center of the Thanksgiving table...a turkey trot, so to speak! The grandchildren are always amused by them!  This big platter always is on the table, too!  Setting out these pieces always bring wonderful family gatherings to mind...

  8. Your turkeys look very fun all strutting their stuff! They really are not attractive looking birds, are they. I love that your grand children enjoy them, and thrilled for you that you will have all of your children around you for Thanksgiving. What a blessing!!!
Have a beautiful week and a blessed Thanksgiving.
    Love and hugs, Cindy

  9. Cute idea to trot the turkeys out on the Thanksgiving table. I'm always amused by the planters, because they seem like a weird item. I have a white one that I never quite know what to do with at Thanksgiving. Right now he's just sitting on a pedestal with a big gaping hole in his back and no plants in site.

  14. Too cute! I just bought my first turkey decorations - two vintage cranberry colored mini candle holders. I'll try to remember to post a picture at some point.

We had a great Thanksgiving back in October, here in Canada. I wish you the same for your holiday this coming Thursday.

  29. I love your turkey trot! That is absolutely the perfect Thanksgiving display and a fabulous collection.
I worked late hours last week and didn't have a chance to do a Thanksgiving type post. I posted about a new store. That was odd for me because I'm a vintage type gal. So it truly made me appreciate your very Thanksgiving post. Wonderful!
I hope you had a very Happy Thanksgiving and are enjoying the weekend.
