Fun Thrift Store Finds...

Thank you for all of your sweet comments on my springtime post...you always know how to make me smile!  Last week, I had some FUN thrifting times, the kind where I find some more unusual thrift store finds!  First off, a wood birdcage...I love the markings...

A big chalkboard like this isn't in a thrift store everyday...it was originally in the meat department of a Whole Foods.

It's very heavy with great eye hooks for hanging...

I plan to hang it in the dining area of our porch, as a menu board...

I also found a cutting board this week...love the patina...

My favorite find is this large calla lily painting...it is going to be hung on a new gallery wall of paintings, that it inspired me to create in my living room.
Sometimes one item sets you off in a whole new direction...

Love the colors on this...

Sometimes the shops hold treasures...have you had any good finds lately?

I am joining~

Until next time...

  2. Great birdcage, and I love the cutting board and chalkboard, Linda! It is not often that you see chalkboards at our thrift stores either. I haven't found any things recently mostly because I haven't been there in recent weeks. I do have some stuff to drop off to Goodwill this week so I will probably go in and look around.

I think the idea of a menu board is such fun!

I found a lovely little pottery pot/vase at the tip at the weekend. Just 25p! Do you have 'tips' over there?

Hope you have a great week and some spring weather to go with it :)

  29. Your aesthetic is so lovely.
The cutting board--be still my heart!
I didn't have space in my suitcase
for junking while in CA, but I would
have loved it, especially in Orange,
where there are a ton of antique and
    vintage shops!
