I had such a nice time last week with my sweet friend Suzanne of Privet and Holly! We had breakfast and conversation at a local farm-to-table restaurant, followed by a tour of the Bachman's Ideas House. And finally, a cup of capuccino with a dish of creme brulee...followed by a little shopping! It was a lovely outing!
Ready to see the 2016 Bachman's Ideas House?
This season the theme is "Room To Bloom"!
You can click on any of the photos for a closer view!
We'll start with the porch...
The chandelier was made of upside-down birdbaths,
chargers, and a silk wreath...
A swing is used as a wall shelf...
Colored acetate paper is used on window panes...
Now we'll head into the house and into the living room...
I love the clock idea using a ceiling medallion...
The sunroom was so pretty...
the tin ceiling background is actually wallpaper!
(From Hirshfield's Tin Ceiling 2701-22305)
We'll head through the entryway...
and into the dining room...
The final room today is the kitchen...
Next post, we'll be heading upstairs!
Before I close...
the winner of the Flea Market Outdoors Magazine is...
Until next time...
What a wonderful house filled with creative spaces. Love all the color. I am drooling over the ceiling tin wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I love all those wonderful creative ideas on the porch. It sure makes me wish for warmer weather to get started here. Love that wall paper used as a back ground. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing--I always love these tours! Thank you for linking up to the Talk of the Town party.
ReplyDeleteHonestly ---this house is so much fun, no matter what the season. I just visited a new store in an old house here in town. So much fun to see home decor---in a real home. And the Bachman house...has so much creativity behind their displays---Love it, and TY, Sandi
ReplyDeleteIt's always so exciting to see these pop up! That tin looking wallpaper is amazing! Wonder where I could put that? :) They always have amazingly creative ideas that the average person would not think of.
ReplyDeleteHope you'll join Thoughts of Home on Thursday tomorrow.
Lots of fun inspiration. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLOVE all the bright colors on the porch!!! Now I need to figure out how they turned the fan into a light. Thanks for taking us along on the tour!
ReplyDeleteThe outdoor arrangement is absolutely gorgeous! It sets the tone for the bright spring accents found inside. The tin ceiling wallpaper is amazing! I would never have guessed that it wasn't the real thing. And I love the use of bright orange tulips in the dining room! So much fun! Thanks so much for sharing, Linda, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the home tour.

Sounds like you had a wonderful outing with your friend. Thank you for sharing the Bachman house with us...I am loving all the bright colors and plants and flowers they used. Some very creative ideas there. The lanterns in front of the fireplace...are they lit by candles or battery-operated lights, do you know? I would love to do something like that in front of my fireplace for the spring/summer.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful day, Linda! My idea of a good time! Always love when you take us to the Bachman house - I am loving the coral and gray in the sunroom and dining room. Also love the unique furniture pieces - especially the log round nesting tables <3. Looking forward to the next post! xx K

Linda, I can't say which room I like the best. Each is different and beautiful in it's own way. I love the FRIENDs letters and backdrop. Sounds like a lovely day! What fun! I'm ready for a little of that myself.
ReplyDeleteI would never have known that tin was wallpaper, looks totally convincing in photos for sure. I think my favorite is the wood slice stacking tables, and did they leave the upc code on that clock part?
ReplyDeleteEverything in the house is for sale!
DeleteThey always have such wonderful and creative ideas!

That is always so much fun to tour. I love the pics that you shared. So many great ideas. I never would've thought to put acetate paper in the window. Really neat!
ReplyDeleteI love the acetate paper idea, brings a pop of colour into the room, and I also love the tiled wallpaper, I've seen this here in the UK. A house full of wonderfully creative ideas. Sharon
ReplyDeleteSo many cute ideas. The porch was my favorite. Thanks for sharing, Linda.
ReplyDeleteSO many fun ideas here! Love the chandy...and the swing shelf! So fun!
