The Bachman's 2016 Spring Ideas House...and a Winner...

I had such a nice time last week with my sweet friend Suzanne of  Privet and Holly!  We had breakfast and conversation at a local farm-to-table restaurant, followed by a tour of the Bachman's Ideas House.  And finally, a cup of capuccino with a dish of creme brulee...followed by a little shopping!  It was a lovely outing!

Ready to see the 2016 Bachman's Ideas House?
This season the theme is "Room To Bloom"!

You can click on any of the photos for a closer view!
We'll start with the porch...

The chandelier was made of upside-down birdbaths,
chargers, and a silk wreath...

A swing is used as a wall shelf...

Colored acetate paper is used on window panes...

Now we'll head into the house and into the living room...

I love the clock idea using a ceiling medallion...

The sunroom was so pretty...
the tin ceiling background is actually wallpaper!
(From Hirshfield's Tin Ceiling 2701-22305)

We'll head through the entryway...

and into the dining room...

The final room today is the kitchen...

Next post, we'll be heading upstairs!

Before I close...
the winner of the Flea Market Outdoors Magazine is...
Katie Mansfield

Thank you for all of your entries and kind comments!

  5. Honestly ---this house is so much fun, no matter what the season. I just visited a new store in an old house here in town. So much fun to see home decor---in a real home. And the Bachman house...has so much creativity behind their displays---Love it, and TY, Sandi

  13. Sounds like you had a wonderful outing with your friend. Thank you for sharing the Bachman house with us...I am loving all the bright colors and plants and flowers they used. Some very creative ideas there. The lanterns in front of the fireplace...are they lit by candles or battery-operated lights, do you know? I would love to do something like that in front of my fireplace for the spring/summer.

  20. I would never have known that tin was wallpaper, looks totally convincing in photos for sure. I think my favorite is the wood slice stacking tables, and did they leave the upc code on that clock part?
