A Traditional Thanksgiving Hutch...and Sharing...

November is whizzing by, and I can't believe it is nearly Thanksgiving! Recently, I brought out some of my vintage Thanksgiving pieces to decorate my white hutch!

Thanksgiving Hutch Decor Ideas

I used black and white with colorful turkeys and spots of color...

I used some faded dried hydrangea and
some colorful burning bush branches, too...

I love all of the vintage turkey shakers, planters, and figurines...

Silverplate pieces add tarnished metallic accents...

This old platter is 1850's era English earthenware...

Aren't these cute little vintage turkey candles?  Probably 50's-60's era, they are by Gurley...

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED
I am going to share one of these with three of my readers!  If you would like the chance to receive one of them, just leave a comment below.  Be sure you have a way I can reach you if your name is drawn.  This ends Tuesday November 15th, 9 PM CST.
Good luck!

Until next time...

  1. Your white hutch is always styled to perfection, Linda! It sets the tone for Thanksgiving dinner with your vintage platters, turkeys, and tarnished silver. After viewing your hutch, I'm tempted to go back to buy an old turkey platter I had in my hands yesterday at our neighborhood antique shop. Very tempting.

Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!

I would love one of those Gurley turkey candles. I remember them from when I was young. I would love to win one, fingers crossed! Hugs!

  8. Your hutch looks great. You have pulled all that black and white together beautifully-and yet added some color with your turkeys and leaves. I will let someone else have the pleasure of the turkey candles. I have 3 or 4 (one is in pretty poor shape) that belonged to my MIL. Those just scream 1950s, don't they...when life was a bit softer and gentler.
    Happy November weekend. xo Diana

  9. You have some gorgeous pieces, my friend! I can't believe it. But I don't have one decor piece for Thanksgiving. Now how did that happen?

  10. Hi! Your charming hutch decorated for Thanksgiving is one of the nicest I've seen because I always love a vintage or antique addition to EVERYTHING. I think the gravy boat is fabulous, too. This post really illustrates how more is better. One pair of turkeys wouldn't have made the great statement in color and shape. If I win the turkeys, I'll be looking for more!

  11. I have a collection of turkeys, and I am pretty sure I have one like one of yours, the colorful one in front of the white platter in the center of your hutch. I also have one of the wax turkeys my mother bought years ago for 25 cents! It isn't Thanksgiving without it. I'd love to add to the collection!
