Vintage Love

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought I'd share some of the vintage love that's on display every day of the year here!

I'm a sucker for a sweet little figurine...

Some prints and old photos call to me...

and even a few old wedding decorations.

Could this be for a 50th anniversary?

I guess I'm just an old romantic at heart.
How about you?

Until next time...sending you love...

  1. I like looking at the old figurines, Linda. I really wonder how old they can be. I also love the photo of the girls and their big hair bows. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. Sweet Bride and Grooms! Valentine's day for me is family love since I don't have a special guy in my life.

  5. I just saw the cake toppers come up on Pinterest and I got so excited!!! Those things always make me smile. I just imagine how happy the couple was on their wedding day (and now they're dead and their kids sold their cake topper at an estate sale).

  6. What fun those old cake toppers are...nothing like the ones they have today. I love that loving pup chalkware piece(or whatever it is). Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Linda. xo Diana

  8. What a fun post! And yes, I would say the couple with the gray hair, and the gold gown on the lady, is definitely for a 50th anniversary. Wish I thought I would look like that on my 50th anniversary (which is only 7 years away)!

  9. I save all sorts of figurines and I am totally drawn to the yelloware-colored plaster ones. We have something in common for sure. I think it was brilliant of you to highlight couples of a different sort than the regular old cliche Valentine. The puppy and the kitten get my vote for cutest couple of the year.

  11. I can't resist the scuffed up faces on those old figurines either, Linda. You've got a nice collection to display for Valentine's Day. The cat and dog print is adorable! Love the little chippy cabinet, too!

  12. I totally agree with you....I think love is all around a happy home---and it doesn't take a 'holiday' to express it. Thanks for the fun posts of vintage, Love! Sandi

  16. I am also drawn to chippy old pieces, and those puppies are the best! (My son collects them.) I would probably start collecting cake toppers myself but I never see them! (Probably or the best lol). Happy Valentine's Day, Linda! xo Kathleen Charm Bracelet Diva {At Home}

  23. Just saw this post. I love your romantic collection, particularly the cake toppers. When my son and his fiancée get married in May they are going to use the cake topper my parents used in 1951. I didn't use it at my wedding for some reason -- I think my mom wasn't sure where it was at that time. It's similar to the one you have with the couple on a plastic stand. Thanks for sharing.

  24. Oh I love your idea so much...how special! I didn't even think of using my own cake topper on the cake when my kids were married!
