Thrift The Look- Boho Decor

This week I worked on such a fun project!
With another blizzard and lots of snow, it's a great time to be creative indoors!

Before I share that, I wanted to thank you for your kind comments on my last post!  I appreciate you so much!
The winner of the ephemera giveaway is~Amber F.

I am joining some of the moderator bloggers from the Creative Vintage Darlings Facebook Group ! I hope you'll come join our group of vintage loving friends!

We will be trying to recreate OUR version of an inspiration decor photo, using as many thrifted finds as we can! This time we chose to try Boho Decor!
I really enjoy these projects as they stretch your creativity!
Boho has so many interpretations...all of the bloggers chose
their own inspiration photos to suit their personal style!

A BIG thank you to oh-so-creative Sarah of Sadie Seasongoods
for all she has done to bring this together!

I love the Boho look with neutrals.
I used these two great inspiration photos from

So much to love here!

Thrift The Look- Theresa Fromski- Rock My Style

I used elements of both photos to combine into my interpretation.
I love the big mirror, and used two old thrifted mirrors for my background.

Plants were a big part...real and faux.
I found big staghorn fern stems for 99 cents at the the thrift store.

I love the thrifted metal bottle...it has a textured look of wood.
The wall baskets were all thrift store finds.

The wood beads were a thrift store craft section find that I strung on jute.

The inspiration photo used mercury glass...this was my thrifted find.

The thrifted placemat has a silver metallic accent when you see it in person.
I liked the bit of black and white texture it added.

I didn't have much luck in finding other mercury glass, so I improvised by taking a thrifted jelly jar filled with loosely crumpled tin foil!  The faceted exterior is what makes it work. You could use spray paint, too, but it's a
little too cold here so I improvised.

I used plants I already had...
the black pottery vase and brown bottles were thrift store finds.

The gray art pottery piece is a thrifted Gonder vase.
It had a repair so it was only 99 cents.  Works for me!

I couldn't find a wicker or rattan stool (which would have been perfect), so I used a thrifted wood stool and faux plant, and put the plant into one of my old straw hats!

It was such fun to create!
