Valentine Hearts Of Love

The other day I was packing up some of my vintage goodies and jewelry making supplies, when I realized, without knowing it, I actually had the sweetest little collection of Valentine hearts of love costume jewelry! These were all found at thrift stores or garage sales over the years. I love looking at the pieces and imagining the story behind them. They are so pretty...
and I thought I would share them with you today!

I used a couple of my antique Paris souvenir photograph books as backdrops...what better place than the city of love?

This hearts and arrow piece has pretty little rhinestones...I can imagine it was a Happy Valentine's Day gift to a sweetheart.

This engraved metal heart has a boy's name on it...
did his Valentine wear it on a chain around her neck?

This is a sweet trio of charms...

I love these little hearts...engraved with initials.

So beautiful.
Don't you love the filigree work?

One of my favorite pieces...an engraved heart necklace
with a baby or child's ring.
So sweet.

But my most favorite is this portion of a mother's charm bracelet...
three hearts engraved with children's names. LOVE.

Isn't it sweet? Hearts of love.

I think I will have to gather these into a little collection to be displayed...

  1. I love these! Such a sweet collection. I almost teared up...my grandmother had a charm bracelet like that with all the grandchildren's names on it (including my brother Raymond!), but sadly, it was stolen when someone broke into our home. It was the only thing I had inherited from her. I still can cherish the memory, thankfully!

You know I'm a vintage jewelry artist so I have an incredible stash of vintage jewelry and bits and bobs to use for my creations. You've motivated me to take some time and just look through them and enjoy. Thanks! xo Kathleen

  8. I love your sweet vintage heart jewelry pieces. How cute the one with the boys name on it. I bet some cute girl wore that on her necklace. Love the history with these old pieces. Have a great weekend.
