Hi Friends!
I have been blogging for many years at Itsy Bits And Pieces, and have enjoyed it all!
With so many changes in my life...I have decided it's time to retire the blog, do some traveling, and seek new adventures!
I have so enjoyed all of my friendly, positive readers! You are the best.
You have always offered a kind word, encouragement, help when I needed it, and friendship.
I have been blessed to meet many of you in person and have made many friends.
Online friends are real friends! I will still be around...visiting other blogs, and I'll have an online presence on Instagram under itsybitsandpieces, where I often share my projects and what's going on in my life. There is a link in my sidebar, if you'd like to follow there. Leave a comment on a post there and let me know you hopped over from the blog...I'd love to follow you there, too!
Also I have a Facebook page as Itsy Bits And Pieces, I'd love to have you join me there, as well!
And of course...I am always playing on Pinterest!
And of course...I am always playing on Pinterest!
I have enjoyed sharing decor ideas, simple projects, makeovers, fun finds,
and ten years of Bachman's Ideas House tours with you!
You can always click on the categories on my sidebar to visit posts again...
or those you may have missed!
I have loved joining with many wonderful blog hops...meeting new friends, and stretching my creativity and skills there. I have always loved journalism and have enjoyed the publishing aspects of blogging and photography, as well as having the opportunity to write articles for, and have my photos featured for eight magazine issues along the way. That was always fun for me!
Now, I am looking forward to finishing our move (soon!), and doing some remodeling in the lakehouse...but even more I am looking forward to spending time with Viking Man and our family
(11 little grands now!) just enjoying life and being retired.
Wishing you all the very best...I will miss you here!
Thank you again!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Carol! It was a tough decision, but in the end, an easy one. It was just time. It would have been a lot harder without having IG and FB to keep in touch!
DeleteLinda, I read your post early this morning and I have to admit it made me sad. I needed to wait a while to leave a comment. There are lots of us that have been blogging for quite a few years, and I so understand where you are right now. You are such a talented and warm person and it shows through in your blog posts and comments. I'll be following along on IG, but will definitely miss you here. Your lake house is beautiful, have a wonderful time with your family, dear friend!

Linda you have inspired so many with your blog. It's time to enjoy life outside the blogging world. I wish you the very best at you new endeavor.
ReplyDeleteI just saw this after the messages this morning on Instagram from Cindy. I'm so sad for me but I'm happy for you. I completely understand as you have been blogging a while. I just leafed through a magazine with two of your features a week or so ago. It's been fun hopping with you. Your vintage finds are so amazing. Your styling of them is always fabulous. I'll keep in touch through Instagram and Pinterest. I wish you all the best as you retire. Have fun at the lake and with the grands.
ReplyDeleteLinda. I came to your blog to thank you for your sweet comment on my last post and I've been reading your final post and the comments since I got here. Of course I'm shocked in that way you feel when you hear unexpected news. But at the same time I can tell by your words that the timing is so right for you. I'm so happy to hear about your move to the Lake House and the life that awaits you with the grandkids and your free time with the family. That sounds like heaven to me. In this world of blogging over the last ten years I've always considered you a solid presence, a warm and caring friend and such a talent woman. You've inspired me and supported me and I've always appreciated the kindness and warmth that flows from your blog and I'm glad to hear you'll be on IG and FB. I haven't been a steady user of social media following our loss of Patrick but I do plan on following you and keeping that connection. If you ever get to Socal I would love to meet up. In this crazy world, we never know what opportunities might pop up.
ReplyDeletelove you dear Linda,
Leslie
